RMD Care Shortlisted in Four Categories at the Leaders in Care Awards 2026

We are proud to share some wonderful news.

We are delighted to announce that RMD Care has been shortlisted in four categories at this year's Leaders in Care Awards 2026.

The Leaders in Care Awards celebrate the brilliant work done by people right across adult social care. To be recognised once is an honour. To be named as finalists four times over is something we are enormously proud of, and it belongs to our whole team.

Our four nominations

We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for:

• Care Home Provider of the Year (Independent)
• Registered Manager of the Year, recognising Joanna Sage of Stanborough Lodge Care Home
• Innovation in Care Homes Technology
• Care Kitchen Team of the Year, for the team at Cams Ridge Care and Nursing Home

Each nomination reflects a different part of what we do, from our leadership and our use of technology to the care and warmth our teams bring to daily life. We could not be prouder to see our people recognised in this way.

Reflecting on the news, Director Abbas Merali said:

Celebrating together

The winners will be announced at the Leaders in Care Awards ceremony on Tuesday 6 October, at the Forest of Arden Hotel and Country Club. It promises to be a wonderful evening celebrating the very best of our sector, and we cannot wait to be part of it.

Whatever the results on the night, we are already celebrating. These nominations are a lovely reflection of the people who make RMD Care what it is, and of the care they show our residents and their families every single day.
