When someone moves into one of our homes, their healthcare doesn't stop – it continues with the same attention and expertise they'd expect anywhere else, but with the added benefit of having it coordinated and supported by people who know them well.
We work alongside GPs, nurses, consultants and specialists to ensure every person receives the healthcare they need, when they need it, with as little disruption as possible to daily life.

Residents normally register with our local GP practices, though we can accommodate existing GP relationships where possible. Regular health reviews ensure any concerns are caught early, and prompt appointments mean issues are addressed quickly.
Our care teams know residents well – they notice subtle changes in mood, appetite, mobility or wellbeing that might signal a health concern. This early awareness means we can act quickly, involving healthcare professionals before small issues become bigger problems.
We arrange referrals to hospital consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dietitians and other specialists as needed. We coordinate appointments, provide full medical histories, and ensure follow-up care is carried out properly.
Regular visiting services
At Cams Ridge and Bentley Lodge, having treatment rooms on site means many healthcare appointments can happen without residents needing to leave home – reducing stress and making care more convenient.

Available at Cams Ridge and Bentley Lodge
For people with complex ongoing health conditions that require clinical support from registered nurses 24/7.
Our nursing teams provide:
Having registered nurses on site around the clock means medical concerns are addressed immediately, medications are managed safely, and families have the reassurance that clinical expertise is always available.
Staying with us
Whilst most of our homes are registered for residential rather than nursing care, our policy is that residents stay with us for as long as they wish, even if health needs increase.
We work closely with district nurses and healthcare professionals to provide additional support as required, rather than asking people to move elsewhere when they need us most. At Cams Ridge and Bentley Lodge, having 24/7 nursing care on site means we can support people with increasingly complex health needs within the same home.
Coordinated care
When someone's health changes, we don't just react – we coordinate. We bring together GPs, specialists, family members and our own care teams to create plans that support wellbeing whilst respecting wishes and maintaining dignity.

Specialist understanding
Supporting someone with dementia through healthcare appointments, treatments or hospital visits requires particular skill. Our teams understand how to:
Hospital liaison
When hospital treatment is necessary, we provide full medical information to hospital staff, maintain contact throughout the stay, and ensure smooth transitions back home. We know how disorienting hospitals can be for people with dementia, and we do everything possible to minimise that distress.
Good healthcare isn't just about treating illness – it's about supporting overall wellbeing:
These foundations of health are built into daily life here, supported by our care teams who understand that preventing health problems is just as important as treating them.

We understand the worry, the questions, the guilt that comes with it.
These aren't words on a page. It's what drives every decision we make – from who we recruit to how we train our teams, from the way we design our spaces to how we plan each day.
