DON’T TAKE OUR WORD

Hear from our families

“My father has always been the rock of our family, and watching him struggle with his health was incredibly difficult. RMD Care changed everything. The caregivers don’t just meet his needs—they connect with him, listen to his stories, and treat him with the respect he deserves. It feels like they’ve become an extension of our family, and that peace of mind is something I can’t put a price on.”

Residents Father
“The team noticed Dad's appetite had changed and contacted the GP straight away. They caught a treatable infection early, before it became serious. That's the benefit of having care staff who really know the people they look after."
Harry Evans
Residents Father
"Having nurses on site at Cams Ridge means Mum's complex medical needs are managed professionally, but she doesn't have to keep going to appointments. The nurses coordinate everything, and I'm kept informed about her health throughout."

Our Care

Why families choose Stanborough Lodge

A team who stay and truly care

Many of our team have been here for years. They know each resident’s routines, stories and what makes them smile. That consistency builds trust and helps residents feel safe and understood, especially those living with dementia.

A home, not a hotel

Stanborough Lodge is a Victorian home with 23 ensuite bedrooms, including two doubles for couples. Families often say they notice the warmth straight away, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that feels genuinely homely. The lounges, conservatory and gardens are spaces to enjoy.

Gardens that bring joy

Set in three-quarters of an acre of landscaped gardens overlooking open farmland, Stanborough Lodge offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature. Pathways wind through flowers and raised planters, with quiet seating areas for sunshine or shade. For many residents, being outdoors brings tranquility and comfort.

Activities and connection

Our Activity Coordinator plans a varied weekly programme built around what residents enjoy most. There’s something for everyone, from crafts, music and gentle exercise to baking, games and seasonal events. Each activity is designed to create joy, spark memories and strengthen friendships.

Families often ask

Do you have availability?

Availability changes regularly. Call us on 01707 275 917 and we'll let you know the current situation and likely timeframes if there are no immediate spaces.

Can couples stay together?

Yes. We have 2 double rooms specifically for couples who want to continue living together. These are often in high demand, so it's worth calling early to discuss availability.

Can I bring my own furniture?

Yes. We actively encourage residents to personalise their rooms with familiar furniture, photos, and belongings. It helps the space feel like your own from day one.

What activities are available for people with dementia?

Our activity programme is specifically designed to be inclusive for residents with dementia. We focus on reminiscence activities, sensory experiences, music, gentle exercise, and creative activities adapted to individual abilities. Our Activity Coordinator is skilled at engaging people at different stages of dementia.

Do you accept respite stays?

Yes, subject to availability. Respite care is a good option for family carers who need a break, or for someone recovering after a hospital stay. It's also a way to try us out before making longer-term decisions.
