We are absolutely delighted to share that RMD Care has been named Care Home Provider of the Year (Independent) at the Leaders in Care Awards 2026, an award sponsored by Prosperwell.

It is one of the most respected honours in our sector, and to receive it is a privilege. The award recognises providers who set the standard for exceptional care, strong support for their teams, and steady, sustainable growth. To be chosen is a wonderful reflection of everything our people work towards every day.

Why we were recognised

Over the past year, we have worked hard to improve and strengthen RMD Care across the board, without ever losing sight of what matters most: the people who live with us and the people who care for them.

That has meant investing in several things at once:

• Our quality systems, so the care we provide stays consistently high across all of our homes
• Our teams, through training and development that helps our colleagues grow and thrive
• Our communities, by building warm, lasting connections with the people and places around our homes

We have also rolled out digital care across the group. In practical terms, this helps our teams spot changing needs and potential risks earlier, and apply best practice more consistently, so our residents receive the right care at the right time.

True to who we are

Through all of this, one thing has stayed exactly the same. RMD Care is, and always has been, family-led. That family feel runs through everything we do, and we are proud that we have been able to grow and improve while holding on to it.

It is what makes RMD Care feel like home, for our residents and for our teams alike.
