Manor Lodge Care Home

A welcoming 16-room home where everyone feels part of the family.

Manor Lodge is for people who value peace, familiarity and knowing the faces around them. With just 16 rooms, it’s one of our smallest homes, creating a warm, family atmosphere where everyone feels at home.

Opened in 1992 as the first RMD home, it still reflects the same family values that guide our care today.

Located in Harrow on the outskirts of London, Manor Lodge offers the quiet of a small community with the convenience of the city nearby.

DON’T TAKE OUR WORD

Hear from our families

“My father has always been the rock of our family, and watching him struggle with his health was incredibly difficult. RMD Care changed everything. The caregivers don’t just meet his needs—they connect with him, listen to his stories, and treat him with the respect he deserves. It feels like they’ve become an extension of our family, and that peace of mind is something I can’t put a price on.”

Residents Father
“The team noticed Dad's appetite had changed and contacted the GP straight away. They caught a treatable infection early, before it became serious. That's the benefit of having care staff who really know the people they look after."
Harry Evans
Residents Father
"Having nurses on site at Cams Ridge means Mum's complex medical needs are managed professionally, but she doesn't have to keep going to appointments. The nurses coordinate everything, and I'm kept informed about her health throughout."

Why families choose Manor Lodge

Intimacy that creates security

With only 16 residents, everyone knows each other. Familiar faces, steady routines and genuine friendships create calm and security, especially for people living with dementia. Families often tell us the home’s small size helps their loved one settle quickly and feel at ease.

A team who've mastered the details

Our experienced team understands that good care lives in the details. They know each resident’s routines, preferences and quirks, from how someone takes their tea to what lifts their mood. This close understanding builds trust and helps residents feel truly known and cared for.

Diverse and multicultural

We're a wonderfully diverse community. Between them, staff speak six languages, helping every resident and family feel understood and at ease. We celebrate cultural festivals together and respect individual preferences.

On the outskirts of London, close to family

Manor Lodge’s Harrow location makes it easy for families across London to visit often. The quiet residential setting offers calm and connection, close to loved ones yet peacefully away from the rush of the city.

Families often ask

Why choose a smaller home?

Smaller homes offer something larger ones can't – true familiarity. With only 16 residents, staff know every person intimately. Mealtimes feel like family gatherings rather than institutional dining. Changes in mood or wellbeing get noticed immediately. For people with dementia especially, this consistency and intimacy creates security.

Do you have availability?

Availability changes regularly. Because we're small, spaces fill quickly but also become available more frequently. Call us on 0208 427 3211 to discuss current availability and timeframes.

Is Manor Lodge suitable for advanced dementia?

Yes. Our specialist dementia training, small size, and consistent team make us particularly well-suited for people with more advanced dementia who need calm, familiar environments and attentive care.

Can families visit regularly?

Yes, and many do. Being on the outskirts of London means we're accessible for families across the capital and beyond. Some families visit daily, others weekly. You're always welcome, and in a smaller home, you'll quickly get to know other residents and their families too.

Do you accept respite stays?

Yes, subject to availability. Even respite guests receive the same personal attention as permanent residents – in a home this small, everyone matters.
