Laura Jessey Named Carer of the Year at the Hampshire Care Awards 2026

A very proud moment for all of us at RMD Care.

We are thrilled to share that Laura Jessey has been named Carer of the Year at the 2026 Hampshire Care Awards. It is a wonderful, well-deserved honour, and we could not be prouder.

Laura, who cares for our residents at Cams Ridge Care and Nursing Home, was chosen from a remarkable field. This year the awards received more than 560 nominations across 10 categories, with only one winner in each. To be named Carer of the Year among so many dedicated people across Hampshire is a truly special achievement.

Recognition she richly deserves

Anyone who knows Laura will understand exactly why she has been recognised. Day in, day out, she brings compassion, commitment and professionalism to everything she does. It shows in the way she cares for our residents, supports their families and looks out for her colleagues.

This award is a reflection of all those moments, big and small, that make such a difference to the people who live at Cams Ridge. We are delighted to see her hard work and kindness celebrated in this way.

Laura's win was the highlight of a wonderful night for RMD Care, which had six finalists in total across the awards. Every one of them should feel enormously proud.
