Weekend Chef

The Role

Manor Lodge Care Home is looking for a passionate and experienced Weekend Chef to join our friendly team and provide high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents.

Working Hours

• Saturday & Sunday
• 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay

• £13.50 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious, and appetising meals for residents.
• Cater for special dietary requirements, allergies, and texture-modified diets.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety and HACCP procedures.
• Manage stock rotation and minimise food waste.
• Work closely with the care team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or catering environment.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
• Knowledge of special diets and nutritional needs of older people is desirable.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
• A caring and positive attitude with a passion for quality food.
